Mobile Court Fines Buses and Destroys Hydraulic Horns in Feni Sound Pollution Drive

The Feni district administration and the Department of Environment (DoE) conducted a mobile court operation to control noise pollution along the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway. The drive was carried out on Monday afternoon (August 10) in the Mahipal Highway Police Station area under Feni Sadar Upazila. The mobile court was led by Mojibur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the Feni District Administration Office.

According to mobile court sources, three buses were fined a total of Tk 6,000 during the drive for causing excessive noise pollution. Additionally, law enforcement personnel confiscated and destroyed six prohibited hydraulic horns removed from the vehicles. Shaon Shawkat, Inspector of the DoE Feni District Office, served the prosecution during the drive, accompanied by other officials from the department.

Highlighting the necessity of the drive, DoE Inspector Shaon Shawkat stated that such enforcement operations will continue in the future to protect the environment and maintain strict control over noise pollution in the region.
