The application period for the 12th BPL franchise ends today. It is learned that several organizations have already applied to the board for a franchise. However, the current champion Fortune Barisal will not be there this season.
It is known that 2 franchises have officially applied until Monday (October 27) night. The two teams are last year’s franchise Dhaka Capitals and the new franchise Comilla Fighters.
This time, the BCB plans to organize the BPL with 5 to 6 franchises. Several more organizations are expected to apply for a franchise today. The board officials are scheduled to meet in the evening to discuss the issues. There, it will be finalized who will get the franchise.
The draft of the upcoming BPL is scheduled to be held on November 17. Therefore, the BCB will publish the final franchise list within 1-2 days.
