Sunny Deol starrer ‘Border 2’ has been doing great at the box office since its first day of release. On the fourth day of its release, the film broke several records by earning the highest single-day collection. On this day, the film also surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ on the fourth day.
On the occasion of India’s Republic Day holiday, ‘Border 2’ earned Rs 59 crore at the Indian box office on day 1, which is the highest single-day collection since its release so far. This war-based film is showing its strength not only in the country but also abroad. ‘Border 2’ has entered the 200 crore club worldwide. The film, directed by Anurag Singh, has earned Rs 239.2 crore worldwide.
The film is at the second place in the global collection list of Indian films released in January. ‘Border 2′ has surpassed Prabhas’ ‘The Raja Saab’. The southern film directed by Maruti had earned Rs 205.66 crore.
Border 2′ has started well by earning Rs 30 crore on the first day of its release. On the second day, the film’s income stood at Rs 36.5 crore. On the third day, it earned Rs 54.5 crore. On the fourth day, i.e. on January 26, Republic Day, the film earned Rs 59 crore. In total, the total income of the film ‘Border 2’ in four days at the Indian box office stood at Rs 180 crore.
‘Border 2’ has broken several hit film records in terms of fourth day income. Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ had a fourth day income of Rs 51.5 crore. Sunny Deol’s film ‘Gadar 2’ did business of Rs 38.7 crore on the fourth day.
Hrithik Roshan’s film ‘Fighter’ earned Rs 29 crore on the fourth day. Last year’s film ‘Chhava’ earned Rs 24 crore on the fourth day of its release. The film ‘Dhurandhar’, released in December last year, earned Rs 23.25 crore on the fourth day. These hit films were left behind by ‘Border 2’ in terms of fourth-day earnings.
