Did Elon Musk accept Trump’s dinner invitation?

US President Donald Trump hosted a dinner in honor of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday. Tesla CEO and Trump’s former close friend Elon Musk is expected to attend the dinner. This information was reported in a report by the American media outlet Punchbowl News.

The Saudi Crown Prince is scheduled to meet with Trump at the White House upon arriving in the United States today. The meeting has been organized to further strengthen the decades-old cooperation between the two countries in the oil and security sectors.

This is Crown Prince Salman’s first visit to the United States since the murder of journalist and staunch critic of the Saudi royal family, Jamal Khashoggi, in Istanbul in 2018.

Indian media outlet Live Mint reported, citing Punchbowl News, that famous golfer Tiger Woods is also going to attend the dinner.

However, it is not yet known whether Elon Musk has accepted the dinner invitation.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk once had a very good friendship. Musk spent a huge amount of money on Trump’s election campaign in 2024. After the election, he also became the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

However, in June, the relationship between the two broke down over the Trump administration’s tax and spending bill. Musk stepped down as head of DOGE. Each made various oblique comments against the other on social media.

At that time, Musk criticized Trump’s tax and spending bill as “disgusting.” In response to his comments, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, “Look, I had a very good relationship with Elon. I don’t know if that will continue.”
