This time, the Bangladesh Jewelers’ Association or BAJUS has decided to reduce the price of gold in the domestic market by 2 thousand 613 taka per bhori. With this, the new price of gold will be 2 lakh 96 taka per bhori. The new price will be effective from tomorrow, Friday. BAJUS announced this new decision to increase the price of gold on Thursday night. Earlier, the price in the country had decreased for three consecutive days due to the downward trend in the global market. However, the price of gold increased again yesterday in the global market. As a result, the price in the domestic market also increased. In total, the price of a good quality bhori of gold decreased by 23 thousand 573 taka in the last one week. As a result, the price fell below 2 lakh taka. However, yesterday, Wednesday, Bajus announced a sudden increase in the price of 8,900 taka. As a result, the price of gold has again crossed 2 lakh taka today, Thursday.
According to the new price set by Bajus, from tomorrow, a 22-carat gold bhori will be reduced by 2,613 taka to 2 lakh 96 taka. A 21-carat gold bhori will be reduced by 2,508 taka to 1 lakh 90,998 taka and a 18-carat gold bhori will be reduced by 2,146 taka to 1 lakh 63,716 taka. In addition, the price of gold per bhori according to the traditional method will be reduced by 1,831 taka to 1 lakh 36,14 taka.
Today, a 22-carat gold bhori was sold for 2 lakh 2,709 taka, 21-carat for 1 lakh 93,506 taka, 18-carat for 1 lakh 65,862 taka and traditional method gold was sold for 1 lakh 37,845 taka.
Meanwhile, although the price of gold has increased, the price of silver remains unchanged. The current price of a 22-carat bhori of silver is 4,246 taka.
