Gold prices fall again in a day

In a single day, the price of gold in the country has decreased by another 3,500 taka per baht. This means that a good quality, i.e. 22-carat gold will cost 2 lakh 4 thousand 283 taka. The new price will be effective from tomorrow, Tuesday.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the reduction in gold prices on Monday. The last time BAJUS reduced the price of gold by 1 thousand taka per baht was on Sunday.

The Jewelers Association has adjusted gold prices 10 times so far this month. The first seven times the price increased. Of these, the price of gold per baht reached the milestone of 2 lakh taka on October 7. On October 20, the price of 22-carat gold increased to 2 lakh 17 thousand 382 taka, which is the highest in the country’s history.

According to BAJUS’s new price, a hallmarked 22-carat gold baht will be sold for 2 lakh 4 thousand 283 taka from tomorrow. Apart from this, 21 carat gold will be sold at 1 lakh 94 thousand 999 taka per bhori, 18 carat gold at 1 lakh 67 thousand 145 taka per bhori and traditional gold at 1 lakh 38 thousand 942 taka per bhori.

Till today, Monday, 22 carat gold was sold at 2 lakh 7 thousand 957 taka per bhori, 21 carat gold at 1 lakh 98 thousand 498 taka per bhori, 18 carat gold at 1 lakh 70 thousand 143 taka per bhori and traditional gold at 1 lakh 41 thousand 496 taka per bhori. Accordingly, from tomorrow, the price of 22 carat gold will be reduced by 3 thousand 674 taka per bhori, 21 carat gold at 3 thousand 499 taka per bhori and 18 carat gold at 2 thousand 998 taka per bhori and traditional gold at 2 thousand 554 taka per bhori.
