ICC’s November Player of the Month, India’s Shafali, and South Africa spinner Harmar

Simon Harmer performed brilliantly in the series against India. As a reward for this, the Protea cricketer has been selected as the ICC Player of the Month for November. This is the first time she has won this award. On the other hand, India’s Shafali Verma performed brilliantly in the recent Women’s ODI World Cup. She played a great role in the team’s World Cup victory against South Africa in the final, for which she was also selected as the ICC Player of the Month for November.

Shafali played an innings of 87 runs off 78 balls against South Africa in the Women’s ODI World Cup final. Shafali Verma became the first Indian cricketer to win the Man of the Match award in the final. And she is the first cricketer in both men’s and women’s cricket to win the Man of the Match award in the semi-final or final of an ODI World Cup.

On the other hand, South Africa’s right-arm spinner Harmer performed brilliantly with the ball against India. She was selected as the Player of the Series in that series. South Africa lost the series 2-0 to India with his spin. This was the Proteas’ first Test series win in India since 2000.

Harmer took a total of 17 wickets in the two-match series. He played a key role in India’s big defeats in Kolkata and Guwahati.

Harmer took four wickets in the first innings of the first Test to restrict India’s lead to just 30 runs. He also took four wickets in the second innings. He played a major role in India’s chase of 124 runs and bowled out India for 93 runs. This gave South Africa their first Test win in India since 2010.

The 36-year-old spinner was in great form in the second Test as well. He took 9 wickets in that match. He played a role in South Africa’s big lead of 288 runs by taking three wickets in the first innings. Harmer gave the best bowling of the series in the second innings. He demolished India’s batting order with 6 wickets for 37 runs. It was because of his bowling that the Proteas won by a huge 408 runs.
