A petrol bomb was thrown at police in the southern Dutch city of Breda. The Rotterdam Eye Hospital said it treated 14 people for eye injuries, 10 of whom were children. Two of them had to undergo eye surgery.
Two people were killed in two fireworks incidents. One was a 17-year-old and the other was a 38-year-old, according to local media.
The historic Vondelkerk church, a 50-meter-high tower in the capital Amsterdam, has collapsed in a fire. The roof of the church was severely damaged. However, authorities said the structure is still intact.
