Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation will launch an Eid Special Bus Service to ensure safe and affordable travel for passengers during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, say authorities.
“BRTC will start its ‘Eid Special Bus Service’ from March 16 to facilitate safe and comfortable journeys for passengers travelling to their hometowns during Eid,” said a press release issued today (March 10) by the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation in Dhaka.
Advance ticket sales for the Eid special bus service have already begun, according to the release.
The initiative has been taken to ensure safe, comfortable and affordable travel for passengers heading home to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with their families.
Through this service, passengers will be able to travel to different destinations across the country at affordable fares.
BRTC authorities have also urged the public to use the government-operated bus service for a safer and more reliable journey during the festive period.
The special service is expected to help manage the increased passenger pressure on roads ahead of Eid.
