The two-day ‘CSDS National Debate Festival 2026’ organised by the Collegiate School Debating Society (CSDS) was held on July 31 and August 1 at the premises of Chattogram Collegiate School.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Pathan Md. Saiduzzaman was present as the chief guest while General Secretary of Chattogram Collegiates Mohammad Mostaq Hossain was present as the special guest at the closing and award distribution ceremony.
Acting Headmaster of Chattogram Collegiate School Muhammad Tajalli Azad presided over the ceremony.
Collegiate School Debating Society President Syed Md. Shadman Adib, moderators of the organisation Shahed Mahmud and Zafar Ahmed also addressed the occasion.
The tournament featured competitions in two categories: Open and School. In the School Category, Dr. Khastagir Government Girls’ High School emerged as the Champion while Chattogram Collegiate School finished as the Runner-up.
In the Open Category, Bangladesh Mohila Samiti secured the Championship with Govt. Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College, Chattogram becoming the Runner-up.
A number of debaters from different parts of the country participated in the two-day event. Trophies, crests and certificates were distributed among the winners at the closing ceremony.
