No fuel crisis, no price hike planned: Minister

There is enough fuel oil in stock and no price increase is planned, says Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood.

“The government has not decided to raise fuel oil prices at this time,” he told the media today (March 24) in Dhaka.

Earlier, on March 23, the Bangladesh Petrol Pump Owners Association said that there has been no possibility of permanent closure of petrol pumps despite supply shortages. Pumps are open where there is oil and closed where there is none, said the association.
