Traditional cultural organization Parabar Sahitya Sangskriti Sangsad hosted a colorful cultural event titled “Droher Minar (Season-2)” at the Engineers Institution Auditorium in Chattogram on Sunday evening (September 20, 2026), honoring the martyrs of the historic July mass uprising.
Moderated by Parabar Director Irfan Mahmud, the program was inaugurated by the mother of late Faisal Ahmed Shanto, one of the martyrs of the July movement. Chairman of the Somonnito Sangskriti Sangsad (Sosas) Nurul Islam attended the event as the chief guest.
Special guests included former Executive Director of SOSAS H. M. Abu Musa, current Executive Director Zakir Hossain, Advisor Shamim Uddin, Parabar Chairman Maimunul Islam Mamun, and Panjeri Shilpigosthi Chairman Mominul Haque, alongside former directors and chairmen of Parabar Sahitya Sangskriti Sangsad.
During the program, Parabar artists performed Hamd, Naat, traditional lyrical ballads, comedic sketches, timeless patriotic songs, and Qawwali. A major highlight was a satirical short play on contemporary social and political issues, written by Shahriar Anirban and directed by Hosne Murad Tarif.
The event drew a large audience of culture enthusiasts and invited guests, turning the auditorium into a vibrant hub of patriotism and revolutionary spirit.
