A fire broke out on the Dhaka-bound Chattala Express in Chattogram; however, the fire was brought under control, and no one was injured.
The fire broke out around 5:45 am today (March 26) in the Fauzdarhat area, said fire service officials.
Firefighters from Fauzdarhat with two units brought the blaze under control after about an hour of effort.
Sub-officer Ahsan Ali of the Chattogram Kumira Fire Station said they acted immediately after receiving reports that the fire had spread from the power car to a nearby coach.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire or assess the full extent of the damage.
A four-member investigation committee has been formed to probe the incident.
