Journalists, officials, and employees working with newspapers will enjoy a five-day Eid-ul-Fitr holiday from March 19.
The Newspaper Owners’ Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) made the announcement today (March 10).
No newspapers will be published during the holidays, NOAB said.
Ramadan began on February 19 this year. Depending on the moon’s sighting, Muslims in Bangladesh will celebrate the Eid on either March 20 or 21.
