The Greater Manchester Chattogram Shomiti (GMCS) organised its annual get-together and picnic 2026 in Blackpool on Monday, August 17, in a joyful and festive atmosphere.
The entire event turned into a joyful gathering with the spontaneous participation of the association’s members, their families, children and teenagers and invited guests. A large number of people from different areas of Greater Manchester participated in this event.
The day-long event included breakfast, lunch, various games, quizzes, antakshari songs and entertainment programmes and an attractive raffle draw. There was a festive atmosphere throughout the day with the participation of people of all ages, from children to adults.
One of the objectives of this picnic was to further strengthen the mutual relations, cordiality, brotherhood and unity among the people of Chattogram and create an opportunity for families to spend a joyful time together.
GMCS Chairman Mohammad Khairuzzaman and General Secretary Monir Hossain Ripon expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to all the members, guests, families, team leaders, volunteers, well-wishers and supporters for the successful completion of the event.
Chairman Mohammad Khairuzzaman said, “This year’s annual picnic was beautifully and memorably completed due to the tireless efforts of all the members, guests, families, team leaders and especially the volunteers of the Greater Manchester Chattogram Shomiti. We want to further strengthen the relationship of our community through unity, cordiality and mutual respect.”
Special gratitude is expressed to the organising team, team leaders and all the volunteers for successfully carrying out various responsibilities including the overall management of the picnic, bus operation, food distribution, entertainment, raffle activities.
The Greater Manchester Chattogram Shomiti has expressed its determination to continue such family, social and community activities in the future with the aim of further strengthening unity, harmony and mutual relations within the community.
