Pubali Bank Launches “Cashless Bangladesh Campaign” in Chattogram’s Chawkbazar

In a strategic move to make digital transactions simpler, safer and more accessible, Pubali Bank PLC (Chawkbazar Branch) has launched a five-day “Cashless Bangladesh Campaign.” The initiative aims to modernize the local shopping experience and reduce dependency on physical currency.

The campaign was officially inaugurated on April 13, 2026, at the Gulzar Tower Shopping Center in Chawkbazar. Mohammad Shahed Ali, Deputy General Manager and Regional Head of the Chattogram Central Region, graced the event as the chief guest. During the launch, a discussion was held with leaders of the Business Association, Shop Owners’ Association of Gulzar Tower and various retailers to highlight the long-term benefits of shifting toward a digital economy.

Presided over by the Assistant General Manager and Branch Manager of Chawkbazar, Mohammad Shakhawat Ullah, the program provided detailed insights into modern banking tools. Attendees were briefed on QR Payments, POS Machines the PI Banking App, CRM, ATM & KIOSK services and the bank’s Self-Service Centers.

Following the discussion, an information booth was inaugurated and a colorful rally was held to raise awareness among the public about the advantages of a cashless society.
