KHAGRACHHARI: In a strategic move to transform grassroots members into a skilled workforce, the Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) completed a rigorous selection process in Khagrachhari today (March 28, 2026). Under the supervision of the District Commandant and officials from Sadar and Mohalchhari upazilas, physically fit and qualified members from all nine upazilas of the district were screened for upcoming specialized vocational courses.
The selected candidates will participate in an 80-day residential training program running from April 5 to June 23, 2026. The curriculum includes Computer (Digital Marketing for Freelancing) at the Ansar-VDP Technical Training Center in Patiya and Welding 6G Training at the Ansar-VDP Training Center in Cox’s Bazar. Priority was given to educated, energetic, and aspiring young entrepreneurs who aim to become self-reliant by leveraging modern technical skills.
This initiative follows the directives of Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, to conduct employment-oriented training across the force’s nationwide centers. Ansar sources stated that these programs are significantly contributing to the reduction of unemployment. Upon completion, the force will facilitate employment opportunities and provide guidance for trainees to launch their own enterprises, further driving the country’s economic growth.
