Bangladeshi artist couple honoured in UK

Six artists from different creative disciplines have been selected as recipients of the Creative Artists Commission, organised by the Bangladeshi Artist Development Agency (BADA) with funding from Arts Council England. Among the winners are Bangladeshi couple mime artist Rezwan Razan and visual artist Tamima Sultana. The names of the successful artists were announced at a recent ceremony held at Lea Hall in Birmingham, United Kingdom. In addition to receiving financial support, the selected artists will take part in a structured mentoring programme under the guidance of experienced mentors, with regular development sessions continuing until October. The six commissioned artists will present their new works during Bangla Month 2026, a month-long cultural celebration taking place in November. Tamima Sultana recently completed her Master’s degree in Fashion Management, graduating with Merit. Rezwan Razan is a well-known contemporary mime artist with recognition both in Bangladesh and international arena.
