United-Bournemouth 8-goal thriller

The audience witnessed a thriller match in the English Premier League on Tuesday (December 15). Host Manchester United drew 4-4 with Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

The hosts led 2-1 at the break in the first half of the United-Bournemouth match. The Red Devils lost that lead in the second half 7 minutes. Bournemouth strikers Evanlisson and Marcus Tavernier scored goals to give the team the lead.

However, within a couple of minutes, United turned the tide of the match with a free-kick from Bruno Fernandes and a header from Matheus Kunha. Although they were dreaming of winning, the match ended in a 4-4 draw. With 6 minutes left in the match, 19-year-old Elie Junior Croupier scored to level the score in a thrilling match.

Both teams took 39 shots in this match. The number of goals and shots from both teams shows how close the goalkeepers had to be in the match. In the end, the guests could have returned with the full 3 points if Bournemouth’s David Brooks had not been stopped by United goalkeeper Lammens.

The draw means United miss out on a chance to move into the top five. They are sixth in the table with 26 points from 16 matches. On the other hand, Bournemouth are 13th with 21 points. The club has not won in seven consecutive matches.
