🩺 A day-long training workshop with a view to improving the quality of healthcare for the country’s marginalised population and enhance the professional skills of rural doctors was organised by the Parkview Hospital Limited at its conference hall on July 29.
Managing Director of Parkview Hospital Limited and eminent orthopedic surgeon Dr. ATM Rezaul Karim was present as the chief trainer in the workshop.
🩺 Cardiologist Dr. M. M. Alam Sadi, Consultant of Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine Department Dr. Tanjila Tabib Chowdhury, In-charge of Emergency and Accident Department Dr. Enamul Kabir Tanvir and Senior Staff Nurses Mehedi Hasan Murad and Srabanti Dey were present as trainers.
🩺 The training workshop provided theoretical and practical training on Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), ‘Does Chest Pain Mean Heart Pain?—First Aid’, common errors and remedies in blood transfusion, rational use of medicines in common diseases, importance of hand washing, proper use of nebulizer, inhaler and oxygen devices, parenteral procedures and aseptic techniques, and prophylaxis and non-pharmacological advice.
🩺 The president of Chattogram Metropolitan Village Doctors Cooperative Association Nasir Ahmed and former president Moulana Mohammad Rafiqullah Hamidi addressed the event as guests. Village doctors from various upazillas of Chattogram were present at the event.
The event was moderated by Manager of Marketing and Brand Department of Parkview Hospital Limited Zahedul Islam.
🩺 The speakers said, village doctors have been playing a very important role in the primary healthcare of the country. If their skills in modern medicine, diagnosis and primary management are improved through regular training, the general public will receive safer, more effective and quality healthcare. They also hoped that such training workshops would play an important role in improving the quality of healthcare at the marginal level.
🩺 Parkview Hospital Limited informed that such training workshops will be organised regularly in the future to provide improved and quality healthcare to the marginalised population of the country and to increase the skills of rural doctors.
