Pandit Bankim Chandra Sanskrit College organized a free distribution of religious and Sanskrit books among its students on Saturday (September 19, 2026) in Chattogram. The ceremony commenced with the chanting of verses from the Holy Gita and the ceremonial lighting of auspicious lamps, led by Shikha Das, a priest at the Lokenath Temple.

The event was presided over by the President of the college and Member Secretary of the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Kalyan Front (Chattogram City Unit), Shri Bappi Dey. The program was held under the overall direction of the college’s Founding Principal, Dr. Liton Acharya.

Jointly moderated by Principal Pandit Dhiman Bhattacharya and Swapan Singh, the event was attended by special guests Shri Royal Paul, Shri Titu Das, alongside other local dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, guests underscored the vital role of Sanskrit studies in promoting Sanatan religious values, ancient knowledge, and moral education. They expressed optimism that distributing free books among students would further inspire and encourage their academic pursuits.
